PRINCIPAL’S MESSAGE

Welcome to the Fred P. Hall School. We are located in the south west corner of Portland, Maine. We currently have nearly four hundred and twenty five students in grades pre-kindergarten through five. We are excited to be planning the design of a new Hall School scheduled to open for the 2018-2019 school year. We hope that you will use our web site as a tool to learn more about the wonderful work that we are doing with students. Our website also provides helpful calendar information identifying important activities and events each month. You will also find our school newsletters and information about current events happening within the building. We look forward to working with you and your children as we grow and learn together.

Hall School Information

We have new start and end times for the 2016 -2017 school year.  Our first bell will ring at 8:50 a.m. with a second bell at 9:00 a.m. to officially begin the school day.
School will be dismissed at 3:30 p.m. each day. The only exception is Early Release Wednesdays when school will be dismissed at 2:30 p.m. Early Release Wednesdays run from October through May.

We will have staff on the playground for the supervision of students at 8:30 a.m. each morning.  Please be sure that students do not arrive prior to 8:30 a.m. as there will be no supervision on the playground.

We will continue to have universal breakfast for all students.  Each morning breakfast will be delivered to all classrooms and readily available to all students as they enter the their classrooms. Students are required to select three out of the four offerings each day that they participate (One must be fruit). Hall school is very fortunate to be able to offer this grant funded program for the 2016-2017 school year with no charge to students.
