All students at Hall School are involved in TAG (Targeted Accelerated Growth) from 9:00-9:30 every day. The district's additional 20 minutes has provided us the time to offer this specialized instruction. Every adult in the building is working with a small group of students on a specific literacy skill or strategy.
Teachers met as teams and looked at each individual student to determine which skills were most needed to support growth in literacy. This information was used to create small groups of students and instruction was designed to address their needs. These groups will meet for six weeks then be reevaluated and adjusted as necessary.
The teachers and students have jumped right in to this exciting and valuable model of delivering targeted instruction!
